Robbins Police Department introduces crime tip line

The Robbins Police Department announced Tuesday a new community resource to aid in combatting crime in the Town of Robbins.

Effective September 8, the police department has an active crime tip line which can be reached at (910) 975-1629. This tip line is critical in assisting police officers to gather as much information as possible about potential criminal activity occurring throughout the town.

Caller’s information will be kept confidential unless he/she wishes to reveal their identity. Reporting callers should give as much descriptive information as possible when reporting the suspected activity through the tip line.

“We kindly ask our citizens to remember this slogan, ‘If you see something, say something,'” said Police Chief Lawson Thomas.

Robbins residents should call this number to report any suspicious activity observed in or around town. This tip line will be monitored daily, however, as always residents should call 9-1-1 to
report any crimes in progress and/or other life-threatening emergencies.

This is a positive step forward in the broader community policing approach the department is implementing over the upcoming months.
