S.P. captain graduates Administrative Officers Management Program

The Southern Pines Police Department announced the graduation of Captain Robert Heaton from the Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) at North Carolina State University.

The AOMP curriculum is highly specific to the field of law enforcement with instruction based on current profession challenges and practices. The AOMP delivers strategic solutions, knowledge and credentials required for continued success in today’s law enforcement profession.

The Administrative Officers Management Program of the School of Public and International Affairs at NC State University has provided management and leadership education for law enforcement careers since 1989.

During this intensive 12-week program, participants complete 15 credit hours of undergraduate and graduate level course work related to leadership in Law Enforcement.

“The completion of the Administrative Officers Management Program is a display of Captain Heaton’s dedication to his profession, department and our community,” said Southern Pines Deputy Chief Charles Campbell in a press release.
