On Friday, February 2, the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange at 15 Azalea Road will reopen at 10 a.m. In keeping with Groundhog Day, the cabin is themed and a bbq lunch special by Chef Katrina will be served from 11:00 to 2 p.m. The cabin features artisan handmade gifts from over 60 local craftsmen.

The Board members for the SWE non-profit include Co-presidents Cav Peterson and Marie Carbrey, Kathleen Causey, Alice Robbins, Barb Summers, Linda Cockman, Char Rohr, Kim Tills, Judie Wiggins, Beverly Raffaele, Dee Anderson and Pat Welch. Advisors to the board include Ron Rhody, Joyce Reehling, Leslie Habets, Amanda Jakl, Audrey Moriarty, Carole Southon, John Strickland and Laurie Bogart Wiles. General Manager is Karen Lehto.

The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays for the Spring season from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cabin is staffed by volunteer waitresses and volunteer cashiers for the artisan gift shop.

Volunteers are especially needed to help serve as a waitress during this new season for a 2 ½ hour time slot. Interested volunteers and To-Go orders may be made by calling Karen Lehto at 295-4677.
