Moore County Superintendent Dr. Bob Grimesey is holding a community group meeting on January 31 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Douglass Community Center, located at 1185 W Pennsylvania Ave, Southern Pines.

The purpose of the meeting is to seek various community perspectives as the board of education ‘prepares to evaluate and possibly revise many of its school district boundaries in the coming months,’ said Dr. Grimesey in an email.

The community is invited to attend and is encouraged to raise questions and share their own perspectives.

“Members of the Moore County Schools African-American Community Advisory Committee to the Superintendent and other key stakeholders from the Black community are invited to participate in a forum to be conducted from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at the Douglass Center in Southern Pines,” said Dr. Grimesey. ” I hope you will be able to attend. Feel free to bring a friend.”
