Sequoia flips in Southern Pines

No serious injuries were reported in a Southern Pines wreck that left one vehicle on its side on the road.

The crash happened when a Telsa and Toyota Sequoia collided at the intersection of N. Bennett Street and W. Rhode Island Ave. Saturday afternoon.

The driver of the Tesla was not transported to the hospital, nor was the driver and two passengers of the Toyota, but EMS evaluated all individuals at the scene.

The intersection was shut down until the vehicles could be cleared from the road. Rockwell Towing removed one of the cars.

Southern Pines Police are investigating the cause of the accident and did not disclose how the wreck occurred. 

Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the Southern Pines Police Department responded to the scene.
