A Southern Pines man is facing several drug charges after being arrested following an investigation, according to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
“On August 26, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Virginia Road in Southern Pines,” said Fields in a news advisory. “During the investigation, Deputies located marijuana, morphine, oxycodone, tetrahydrocannabinol resin, items of drug paraphernalia, and items of marijuana paraphernalia.”
Delmar Hailey, 38, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, two counts of simple possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
The suspect’s secured bond was set at $60,000. He is due in court on Sept. 22 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
