Sunrise Theater: Live and Local Showcase - July 20

Missing First Friday? No worries, Sunrise Theater is hosting a free outdoor concert on July 20 from 4-8 p.m. starring all local bands. Come out, rock out, and support local. The artists featured include the 723s, carcrashpoolparty, Logan Duke, and Aidan Lyons. Tickets are absolutely free.

The Band 723 is a music collective that formed from a love of live music and music creation. Each of the members were practicing musicians before the band formed, and they take their unique experiences as solo artists to make a one-of-a-kind sound. They’ve been playing all around North Carolina and now they’re coming to the First Bank stage at the Sunrise!

carcrashpoolparty is emblematic of the North Carolina regional scene as an experimental mix of post-rock, jazz, and rhythm and blues. Based in Sanford, carcrashpoolparty has made a name for themselves performing all over the region playing all the way from Carrboro to Southern Pines. You may have seen them perform on the First Bank stage at the last SoPines Session back in May of last year.

Logan Duke is a talented young artist. Starting as a singer-songwriter, he’s been branching out into classical as part of Flow University’s inaugural class at the Musician Leadership Academy. This will be a return to performing at the Sunrise as Duke was the much-acclaimed opening act for the Frozen Charlottes during their December 2022 concert.

Aidan Lyons is another local artist who’ll be gracing the stage. He’s a singer-songwriter who’s been putting his music online for the last few years.

For this free event, all you need to do is show up. See you at the Sunrise!
