3 women facing multiple drug charges

Three individuals from Moore County are facing several drug charges, announced Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news release.

“On January 11th, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 9800 block of NC Highway 705 in Eagle Springs,” said Fields.

Law enforcement confiscated heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms- (psilocybin), acid- (LSD), marijuana, firearm, and items of drug paraphernalia.

“The search warrant was executed at the conclusion of a drug investigation,” said Fields.

Arrested were:

Jolee Mercer, 34, of Eagle Springs:

Charges- possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect’s bond was set at $60,000.

Tyisha Shepherd, 29, of Robbins:

Charges- possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine (2 counts), possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance (3 counts), felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana (2 counts), maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of marijuana greater than 1/2 to 1 ½ ounces, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. The suspect’s bond was set at $50,000.

Dakota Baxter, 25, of Eagle Springs:

Charges- possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baxter was also served with an outstanding order for arrest. Baxter was placed under a $39,000 bond.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
