No one was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Southern Pines Friday night. The accident took place across from the Circle K on U.S. Highway 1, just before Murray Hill Road.

A Ford F150 was merging onto U.S. 1 South from Southern Pines when it crossed over several lanes, sideswiping a Ford Focus, and then slamming into a power pole. The truck suffered front end damage.

The two occupants of the truck were examined by EMS but not transported to the hospital for further care.

The occupants of the Ford Focus were uninjured.

Southern Pines Police are investigating the accident.

Responding to the scene were Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Southern Pines Police Department.
