Two arrested for stealing tools from barn

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of two individuals following an investigation in the Aberdeen area of Moore County.

On Friday, October 29, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a larceny of tools from a storage barn. During the investigation, two suspects were identified.

On Wednesday, November 17, sheriff’s investigators arrested Lawrek Bittle, age 40, of Aberdeen. Bittle was charged with one count of felony larceny, one count of felony possess stolen goods/property, and felony aid and abet. Bittle was processed at the Moore County Detention Center where he received a $7,500 secured bond pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on Wednesday, December 8.

On Wednesday, November 17, sheriff’s investigators also arrested Jacques McGregor, age 22, of Aberdeen. McGregor was charged with one count of felony breaking or entering, one count of felony larceny, and one count of felony possess stolen goods/property. McGregor was processed at the Moore County Detention Center where he received a $10,000 secured bond pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on Wednesday, December 8. McGregor was also served on an outstanding order for arrest out of Lee County where he failed to appear in court on October 25, receiving a $1,000 secured bond on this incident with a pending court appearance in Lee County District Court on Thursday, December 9.
