Two May Events Set for the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange

Sandhills Woman’s Exchange Annual Meeting

The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange invites the public, staff, and volunteers to attend its annual meeting at the Pine Crest Inn.

Guests will enjoy brunch while hearing updates from staff about future plans for the organization’s historic cabin. Following the meeting, leaders from the Village Heritage Foundation (Ned Franke, Beth Stevens, and Lynda Acer) will present the program “Fluttering into 2026 at the Village Arboretum.”

“Raise a Cup to the Cabin” Tea Party

The Sandhills Woman’s Exchange will also host a spring tea party inviting guests to gather with friends for tea and refreshments.

“Don’t miss this special time with friends to enjoy tea and wonderful nibbles on a Spring day,” encourages the SWE.

Cost: $65 per person

Reservations are required due to limited seating. Guests are encouraged to wear hats for the occasion. Call 910-295-4677 to reserve a seat.

The historic cabin will close for the summer season on Friday, June 5. Until then, normal hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are also welcome to assist in the gift shop, Cabin Café, gardens and various committees.
