Two-vehicle crash shuts down Hwy 211

A two-vehicle accident in Aberdeen sent one person to the hospital Friday evening. The accident occurred at Circle K on the corner of Highway15-501 South and Highway 211.

A Nissan Sentra was heading toward Raeford on Highway 211 when a Silverado pickup truck pulled out of the Circle K parking lot and struck the Nissan, according to authorities.

The impact sent the Nissan off the ride-hand side of the road. The Nissan had extensive damage to the passenger side. The truck suffered damage to the front end.

The driver of the truck was transported by EMS to FirstHealth Moore Regional. His condition is unknown at this time. No others injuries were reported.

The accident completely closed Highway 211 from the intersection to Mofield Way until the highway could be cleared.

Aberdeen Police is investigating the accident. Rockwell Towing hauled both vehicles from the scene.

Responding to the accident were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Aberdeen Police Department, and Rockwell Towing.
