The Village of Pinehurst invites residents to provide feedback and engage in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 budget and Strategic Operating Plan (SOP) before the council considers adoption of the plan in June.
The public can use the Engage Pinehurst portal located at engage.vopnc.org/budget, to learn more about the budget process, watch past video presentations, provide valuable feedback and keep up with important key dates.
The Portal gives village staff the opportunity to breakdown the proposed budget in a user-friendly format to encourage resident participation and allows for a transparent process.
Budget Timeline
Village Manager Jeff Sanborn presented the proposed FY 23 budget to the council during the May 10 Village Council Regular Meeting. Village Council will review selected details and direct refinement of the budget and five-year plan during two work sessions:
Monday, May 16, 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 18, 4:30 p.m. (if needed)
Both work sessions will be in person at Village Hall (395 Magnolia Rd.) in the Council Conference Room.
Village Council will then hold a public hearing on the FY 2023 budget at their meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at 4:30 p.m. Members of the public that wish to speak at the hearing may contact the Village Clerk at [email protected] or 910-420-1631. Prior to the public hearing, staff will provide the Village Council with feedback from the Engage Pinehurst portal.
Village Council is scheduled to adopt the annual budget at their meeting on June 14 at 4:30 p.m.
