WEEB now has another radio station for Moore County listeners.
The new station, 104.1 FM, located in Carthage, brings three radio stations broadcasting WEEB’s talk radio format. WEEB also broadcasts on 97.3 FM and 990 AM in Southern Pines.
Owner, Steve Adams, said in a news release the new station officially went on the air Wednesday morning.
“Our new 400 foot tall antenna, located at the top of a high point in the county, is a real powerhouse,” said Adams. “This will greatly increase our coverage area on the FM dial. Now Carthage, Robbins, West End, Seven Lakes, and Sanford can enjoy our talk radio programming which includes Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Chris Plante.”
The new slogan will be Talk 97.3FM, 104.1FM, and 990AM WEEB.
“We’ve been working for over two years to get this station on the air,” said Adams. “When you’re working with federal, state, and local governments and bureaucracies, you have to constantly jump in and knock down the barriers in front of you and clear a path to your goal. All the hard work paid off.”
