Moore County Animal Services built a new run-in shed for horses and large animals.  The stable is designed to protect large animals from the weather, according to Animal Services.

All the supplies were donated for the project. Locust Lumber’s General Manager, J.D. Cuff donated building materials, James Demyan donated metal roofing, and Chad Homes donated horseshoe metalwork.

Lieutenant Kirk with Animal Services led the project.

The animal shelter currently has a horse who is looking for a safe and loving home. Belle, an appaloosa mare, senior, 15 hands tall, recently shod, and a gentle soul, was listed for adoption with Moore County Animal Services on March 16th

For more information on Belle, please visit https://www.moorecountync.gov/sheriff/animal-services or call (910) 947-2858.
