A two-vehicle collision sent two people to the hospital Monday evening in Aberdeen. The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway15-501 in front of CVS just after 7 p.m.
The vehicles involved in the accident, a Honda Odyssey van and a Ford F150 truck, both had heavy damage.
The driver of the truck was uninjured, but two people in the van were transported by EMS to Moore Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Northbound lanes of Highway 1 were completely shut down, and traffic was rerouted onto15-501 north.
Aberdeen Police were on the scene and is investigating the cause of the accident.
Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Aberdeen Police Department.
