A crash in West End closed one lane of NC Highway 211 in front of West End Elementary School on Wednesday night. Westbound traffic was diverted to the center lane for travel.
Investigators say the driver of a Ford Explorer failed to brake and collided into the back of a white Ford F150. Both drivers were not seriously injured but requested to be transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital to be checked out. Two children riding in the Explorer were uninjured.
Troopers tell Sandhill Sentinel the driver of the Explorer will be cited for failure to stop to avoid a collision.
