Crews respond to crash near church in Robbins

On Friday afternoon, a Nissan Sentra rear-ended a Chevy S10 pickup truck on Highway 705 in Robbins in front of First Wesleyan Church.

According to authorities on the scene, both vehicles were traveling toward Robbins when the Chevy slowed down, and the Nissan failed to stop in time.

The steering wheel air bag was deployed in the Nissan, and the female driver was not injured. Moore County EMS took the male driver of the pickup truck to get checked out at the hospital, but his injuries were non-life-threatening.

The Robbins Fire Department, Moore County EMS and State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
