DOT driver uninjured in Carthage crash

On Wednesday afternoon, a North Carolina Department of Transportation pickup truck was involved in a crash outside of Carthage. 

The truck driver was traveling from Robbins to Carthage on Highway 24/27. He lost control near Kelly Plantation Road and ran off the road. The truck went up an embankment, striking trees before stopping at the edge of a nearby property.

DOT driver uninjured in Carthage crash Wednesday The driver was uninjured and the only occupant of the truck. 

The wreck is currently under investigation.

Carthage Fire Department and Moore County EMS responded to the scene.
