A woman escaped a crash without sustaining any serious injuries after her vehicle struck a tree in Pinebluff late Sunday morning.
The crash occurred around 11 a.m. near the railroad tracks on Addor Road. According to authorities on scene, the driver reported mechanical issues, hearing and feeling a “loud pop” in the front of her Honda minivan. In an attempt to avoid crossing into oncoming traffic, she veered off the right side of the road, where the minivan collided with a tree.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMS to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital for treatment.
One lane of Addor Road was shut down as emergency crews worked the scene.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Responding units included Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Pinebluff Police, and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
