MCSO Animal Shelter reaches max capacity, waives fees

Having reached max capacity for animal intakes, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office animal shelter is temporarily waiving all adoption fees for pet adoptions.

“Our county animal shelter is currently at full capacity, and we urgently need your help,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a press release. “We have many wonderful dogs, cats, and other pets eagerly waiting for their forever homes. To encourage adoption and ensure every animal finds a loving family, we are waiving all adoption fees for a limited time.”

The MCSO Animal Services team encourages potential adopters to stop by and meet available pets or to help by simply spreading the word.

“We have pets of all sizes, ages, and breeds ready to become your new best friend,” the press release stated. “Share this announcement with friends, family, and on social media. The more people know, the more lives we can save.”

MCSO Animal Services answered the question, “Why Adopt?”

· Save a Life: By adopting, you are giving an animal a second chance at life.

· Unconditional Love: Experience the joy and companionship that a pet brings.

· Community Support: Help MCSO Animal Services continue providing care for animals in need.
