FirstHealth of the Carolinas announced on Jan. 17 that they are offering its gym facilities to residents who are in need of shelter.

“If any residents are without power and need somewhere to shower and warm up, they are welcome to use the Pinehurst facility located at 170 Memorial Drive,” said FirstHealth of the Carolinas Director of Public Relations Emily Sloan in a news release.

The announcement comes after the state was hit with a winter storm on Jan.16 that left more than 25% of Moore County without power. Moore County was the hardest hit in the state with power outages. Many residents are still without electricity on Jan. 17. Many homes are without internet as well.
