Evelyn Marie Snipes Yonts, 100 of Southern Pines, passed on Friday, December 7, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional hospital in Pinehurst.
A graveside service will be held 2pm on Saturday, December 15th 2018 at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen with Pastor Jim Thyne officiating.
Mrs. Yonts was born September 12, 1918 in Moore County to the late Junius Vivian Snipes and Mary Ann Morgan Snipes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert T. Yonts in 1999. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Mary Ellen Harpster; two brothers, Robert and Leroy Snipes; and a sister, Gladys Myers.
She is survived by four daughters, Marie Mofield and husband Carl of Goldsboro, NC; Ann Boyer and husband Mike of Laurel Hill, NC; Evelyn Terry and husband William of Southern Pines; Sylvia Milite and husband John of Southern Pines; A sister, Jane Wilken of Thornton, IL; Ten grand-children and five great-grand-children.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines.
