Mr. Ronald Joseph Favelli, Sr. of Whispering Pines passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in the FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 81.
Ronald was born in Lake County, IL on May 4, 1938 to the late Peno and Susan Briscoe Favelli. He was married on January 30, 1956 to his late wife of 63 years, Marilyn. In the 1960s, Ron opened up his own business, Favelli Painting & Decorating, in which his son operates today. When he wasn’t busy working on a project, he enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. One of his favorite activities was participating in Rock Steady Boxing in Pinehurst. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
Along with his wife, Marilyn, Ronald is preceded in death by his brothers, Leonard and Robert Favelli.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Favelli-Welke and her husband, Tom, of Whispering Pines; his son, Ronald J. Favelli, Jr., of Salem, WI; his grandchildren, Kristine Jones and her husband, Bradley, of La Grange and Melissa Favelli of Madison, WI.
A celebration of his life is tentatively planned for 12:30 on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Filly & Colts at Little River Golf and Resort.
Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
