William Carlton Moore, 77, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Born on January 18, 1943, in Lewes, Delaware, to the late Robert Carlton Moore and Doris Holloway Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Moore; daughter Kimberly Moore (Ted Johnson); son Greg Moore (Sandy); grandchildren Lauren Johnson, Teddy Johnson, Will Johnson, Spencer Johnson, Megan

Moore, Matthew Moore, and Maxwell Moore. He is also survived by a sister Carol White (Fritz); twin brother Robert Moore (Dee) and many nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Rehoboth Beach High School. He obtained a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Maryland, and obtained his MBA from the University of Virginia. He spent his working career in Pharmaceutical & Medical Device marketing and sales promotion, retiring from Bristol Myers Squibb in 1999. Bill and Barb moved to Pinehurst and Bill spent time pursuing his passion for golf. He played in numerous golf groups, volunteered as a walking scorer and hosted players for amateur golf tournaments. He was a member of the Tin Whistles and the MGA. Bill also loved to travel and spend time with his family, with family always being his first priority.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 2:00PM at Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, Southern Pines, North Carolina 28387. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tin Whistle Education Research Fund, 5 Dawn Road, Suite 4, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
