SGM William Leroy (“Bill”) Jones, Jr., US Army (Ret), quietly and peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
He was born August 5, 1931, in Jacksonville, FL and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the faithful and devoted husband of Alice Hamlin Jones (deceased) and father of Bobby Leroy Jones, Brenda Jones Travis, and Donald Michael Jones.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Sandhills United Church of Christ. The Viewing will be from 10:30am-11:30am and the Service will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The family is not accepting food or visitors at the home at this time. Additionally, they request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Sandhill United Church of Christ, PO Box 411, Aberdeen, NC 28315, in memory of “William L. Jones.
