A pickup driver lost control at a curve in Star on Monday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m., first responders were dispatched to Tarry Church Road near the intersection with Cabin Estates Trail.
The driver was traveling northbound on Tarry Church Road, lost control near a curve, and came to rest on the side of the road against trees.
The male driver of the truck was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation at the time of this article.
N.C. State Highway Patrol, the Westmoore Fire Department, and Moore County EMS responded to the call.
