Pinehurst police capture suspects in car break-in cases

On Friday, Oct. 1, detectives with the Pinehurst Police Department conducted an operation in response to recent motor vehicle break-ins in its community. While conducting surveillance as part of the operation, three individuals were apprehended near the Pinehurst Resort in connection with the recent break-ins.

The following individuals were arrested and taken into custody and are held in the Moore County Detention Center:

Joseph Niblett, 47, of Martinsville, VA, was charged with one of count felony conspiracy and is held on a $25,000 bond.

Richard Silva, 30, of Durham, was charged with one count of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, one count of possession of marijuana and is held on a $10,000 bond.

Richard King, 54, of Martinsville VA, was charged with four counts of breaking or entering a motor vehicle, three counts of misdemeanor larceny, three counts of financial card theft, one count of financial card fraud, two counts of identity theft, nine counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, three counts attempted obtaining property by false pretenses, one count simple possession of marijuana and is held on a $230,000 bond.
