A weekend closure is scheduled for a section of N.C. 22 in Moore County as part of a $3.5 million project awarded last fall to replace the bridge over Nicks Creek.
The road will be closed between McCaskill and Airport roads from 7 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday, so crews can safely perform a traffic shift and tie in to a new road alignment. The Nicks Creek Greenway Trail will also be closed during this time to connect its driveway.
Traffic will be detoured using McCaskill Road, U.S. 15/501 and Airport Road. Contract crews will also ensure access to properties within the project limits.
