A man from Carthage is facing three drug charges after the Whispering Pines Police Department was “alerted to suspicious activity in one of the local parks.”
Aaron Deese was arrested on charges of possession of heroin, possession of a schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, announced Whispering Pines Police Department in a press release.
“On June 28th, 2024, members of the Whispering Pines Police Department were alerted to suspicious activity in one of the local parks,” said the department on July 2. “Officers located the subject in question, and during the course of their investigation, they located narcotics and paraphernalia.
The suspect was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. He is due in court on July 25 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
