Three-vehicle crash closes section of Highway 73

A three-vehicle crash closed part of Highway 73 in West End on Tuesday morning. First responders were called to the intersection of Hwy 73 and Beulah Hill Church Road just before 9 a.m.

According to troopers investigating the crash, a Honda Odyssey was traveling north on Beulah Hill Church Road and was attempting to cross Hwy 73. That’s when a log truck from McNeill Trucking slammed into the Odyssey at the intersection. The impact caused the empty log truck to veer right, colliding with a Nissan Sentra that was stopped at the stop sign on Beulah Hill Church Road.

The driver of the Odyssey was not injured and will likely be charged with driving without a license and failure to yield.
