A truck carrying chickens caught on fire outside of Vass on U.S. Highway 1 late Tuesday night.
According to Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue, the truck was in the southbound lane near Dunrovin Country Store with heavy flames in the cab of the truck.

“Upon the arrival of the first engine they reported a working fire with heavy involvement in the tractor of a tractor and trailer,” said Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue on social media.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly. Authorities did not state how the fire started.
There were no injuries reported.
Emergency crews closed the southbound lanes for 30 minutes while they worked the scene.
