Two suspects were arrested Monday evening for the murder of a Southern Pines man.

Willie Charles Antoine Williams, 36, of Raeford, and Jamie Nicole Dawkins (AKA Jamie Hargrove), 29, of Fayetteville. were charged with first degree murder of Robert Glenn Davis.

Davis was found at his residence on Cox street on June 17 with a fatal gunshot wound. 

Arrest warrants were issued for the two suspects on June 21, and the suspects were located and arrested in Fayetteville. 

Authorities did not state a motive behind the shooting.

“The investigation of incidents such as this is a department-wide function,” said Southern Pines Police Chief, Bob Temme. “Patrol officers, evidence technicians, administrative staff, property technicians, records personnel, detectives, dispatchers and other police department members are all important contributors to our successful investigative process. I commend the entire department for their efforts. It is our collective hope that these arrests help bring both closure to the friends and family of Robert Glenn Davis.”

Both suspects are being held in the Moore County Detention Center without bond and are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
