Two transported to hospital after crash in Cameron

A single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Eastern Moore County sent two people to the hospital. Emergency units were dispatched to the accident in the 6000 block of Marks Road in Cameron, about a mile from the Harnett County line.

According to authorities on scene, a Kia Forte traveling east on Marks Road lost control in a curve and crashed into a small group of trees and thick vines just off the roadway.

The crash left the Kia with significant front-end damage.

The male and female occupants were transported to Moore Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

One lane of Marks Road was shut down while crews worked the scene.

Crains Creek Fire Department, Moore County EMS and N.C responded to the crash. State Highway Patrol.
