There was a home invasion in Aberdeen Wednesday night with the suspects holding the victim at gunpoint robbing him of money.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release that they are currently investigation the crime.  The victim is describing the suspects as “two black males” who forced their way into his home last night at 11:30 pm.

According to the news release, the suspects fired several shots as they were fleeing the house, located off of Fellowship Way, hitting the home and several parked vehicles.  There were no injuries reported.

“We do not believe this was a random act of violence, but to be safe we encourage residents to remain vigilant, lock their doors and contact the Sheriff’s Office with any concerns they may have,” said Sheriff Neil Godfrey. “The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is dedicating all necessary resources to ensure we find those responsible for the incident. We have identified potential suspects, this is an on-going investigation and we will not be able to provide additional details at this time.”
