Pinecrest High School has hired a new principal to replace retiring Principal Bob Christina. Stefanie Phillips is now the second female to hold the position.  Beverly McAnulty was the school’s first female principal.

Phillips will assume her new position when Christina steps down on July 20.

Phillips is currently the assistant principal at the high school and has been employed with the Moore County Schools since 2009.  Phillips’ previous positions include Specialist for Science and Healthful Living in the district office,  Principal at Aberdeen Elementary School, and a teaching position at Pinecrest.

Christina announced his retirement in an email to students and families in May stating he is “resigning his position to pursue retirement.”
