Search warrant nets two arrests in Carthage

Moore County Sheriff’s Department seized suspected fentanyl, buprenorphine hydrochloride, clonazepam, Lunesta, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia after executing a search warrant in the 100 block of Old Steed Place in Carthage on Wednesday.

Twenty-nine-year-old Darian Janus, of Carthage, was arrested and jailed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond. Thirty-three-year-old Lindsay Everett, of Lakeview, was arrested and placed at the detention center under a $30,000 secured bond.

Janus is facing charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II-controlled substance- (fentanyl), felony possession of schedule II-controlled substance- (fentanyl), maintaining vehicle/dwell/place-controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV-controlled substance- (Lunesta), simple possession of schedule IV-controlled substance- (clonazepam), simple possession of schedule III-controlled substance- (buprenorphine hydrochloride), and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Everett faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule IV-controlled substance- (Xanax), maintain vehicle/dwell/place-controlled substance, simple possession of schedule IV-controlled substance- (Xanax), and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Both suspects are due in court on May 15 and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
