An 18-wheeler overturned Monday morning in the Northern end of Moore County spilling its cargo on the side of the road.
The accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on the corner of Spies Road and Allen Road in Westmoore.
The 18-wheeler ran off the road before turning on its side. There was no livestock on the truck at the time of the accident.
The driver was checked out by paramedics on the scene and was released.
Responding to the accident was Westmoore Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, State Highway Patrol, and North Carolina Department of Transportation.
