Three people were arrested last week when police say they stole money and property from a man during a private transaction in Carthage.
Moore County Detectives arrested Owen Dade Haymans, 18, of Carthage, Thomas Edward McIver Jr, 20, of Carthage, and 15-year old juvenile.
“The Moore County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Carthage area of Moore County for a reported robbery,” said the sheriff’s department. “Upon arrival, the victim told deputies that he was at the residence to purchase a cell phone and during this time he was assaulted by three individuals. Money, along with personal property, was stolen from the victim during the assault. Detectives responded to the scene to investigate and recovered some of the property reported stolen by the victim.”
Haymans and McIver were both charged with one count of felony common law robbery and one count of felony conspiracy to commit common law robbery.
Haymans was placed under a $10,000 secured bond while McIver was given a $5,000 bond.
