Aberdeen man charged with breaking into West End home

An Aberdeen man was arrested and placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $11,000 secured bond for allegedly breaking into a home, according to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Department conducted an investigation in West End after receiving a report for breaking or entering of a home on June 3, 2021.

“On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Sheriff’s investigators arrested Stephen Alexander Rouse, age 32,” said Fields.

The suspect was charged with one count of felony breaking or entering, one count of felony larceny, one count of felony possession of stolen goods, and one count of misdemeanor second degree trespassing. 

According to North Carolina Department of Safety, Rouse was incarcerated for five months in 2015 for possession of schedule VI controlled substance.

Rouse is expected in court on Nov. 10 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
