Aberdeen resident Rosa Mae Burns, 60, also known as Rosa Mae Cruz, was the focus of a silver alert filed by Aberdeen Police Department last weekend.
Aberdeen Police Chief Carl Colasacco advised she was found deceased Saturday in South Carolina.
Aberdeen Police are working with South Carolina authorities to piece together the details surrounding her death, but no foul play is suspected.
The N.C. Center for Missing Persons said she was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
She was last seen at her home on Midway Road in Aberdeen.
