American Legion A.B. Sally Jr. Post 350 in Pinehurst awarded three patriot scholarships on June 3.
The recipients were Ethan Pate, a senior from North Moore High school who received The Walter Edward Maness Patriot Scholarship, Lilly Tiffany, senior from Pinecrest High School who received The Jessie Wilson Cole Patriot Scholarship, and Elizabeth Regan, senior from Union Pines High School who received The Victor Arnold Ritter Scholarship.
All scholarships are named in honor of Post 350 fallen comrades who lived in the Pinehurst area and were KIA during WW II. American Legion membership is open to all veterans who served honorably or are still serving honorably. If interested in joining, contact Commander Kindle at (910) 691-1450.
