Brush fire takes out shed in High Falls

Another fire broke out in Moore County on Tuesday after a large fire destroyed Fat Monkey Express in West End.

In the 200 block of Highway 22 in High Falls, a small residential shed caught fire and threatened a few nearby outbuildings around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities said the homeowner was burning leaves when the fire got too close to the shed. No one was injured.

When firefighters arrived, a second building had just caught fire, but they were able to put out the metal building before it got out of control.

High Falls, Bennett, and Robbins fire departments responded to the fire scene. The Moore County Sheriff’s Department was on the scene.
