A single-vehicle crash near Vass Thursday afternoon left the driver uninjured but left a fence in pieces.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Lakebay Road, just west of Dougald Road.
Authorities told Sandhills Sentinel on scene that a Honda passenger car was traveling east toward Lobelia Road when the driver lost control in a curve and veered off the right side of the roadway.
The vehicle crossed the ditch, narrowly missing a power pole, before crashing through a fence and skidding around to a stop in the front yard of a home.

The male driver was the only occupant and was not injured.
One lane of travel was shut down briefly while crews worked the scene.
Responding units were Crains Creek Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and N.C. Highway Patrol.
