A two-vehicle accident in front of the Moore County Agricultural Fair on opening night sent one person to the hospital.
The accident occurred Tuesday evening on Highway 15/501 at the entrance of the Moore County Fairgrounds in Carthage.
A Toyota Tacoma and a Kia Telluride were involved in the crash.
According to officials at the scene, the driver of the Kia was stopped near the entrance of the fairgrounds when the driver of the Toyota failed to stop and rear-ended the SUV.
The female occupant of the Toyota was injured and transported to the hospital. The driver of the Kia was not injured and remained at the scene.
The last day of the fair is Saturday, Oct. 2.
