Crews respond to CVS crash

Early Wednesday afternoon, three vehicles were involved in a collision in the CVS parking lot off Highway 15/501 in Aberdeen.

Officials on the scene said a Chevrolet truck pulling into the parking lot sideswiped a Prius before ramming into the back of a Nissan Rogue parked in a handicapped space.

Significant damage was done to all three vehicles. Air bags were deployed in the truck while the Nissan was thrust into the handicapped sign.

Three passengers from the Chevrolet truck and Nissan were transported to Moore Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The reason for the collision is still under investigation.

Traffic on 15/501 was not interrupted since the collision was in the store’s parking lot.

Responding units were the Aberdeen Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and the Aberdeen Police Department.
