Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle wreck on Highway 211, at the intersection with Pine Ridge Lane, in West End on Thursday afternoon.
When the crash happened, the cars involved were traveling west toward the Seven Lakes community. According to a witness, a Toyota Highlander and a pickup truck stopped for a vehicle making a left-hand turn.
A car did not slow down as it came upon the two stopped vehicles. The vehicle collided with the back of the pickup, causing it to veer into the Toyota. The pickup then went off the left side while the Toyota went off the right side of the road.
The extent of any injuries is unknown at this time.
N.C. State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
