A Whispering Pines man is behind bars facing vandalism and larceny charges, according to a news release from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Jacob Liam Armstrong, 21, was arrested Thursday after an investigation following a report of vandalism at a West End business.  The release did not state the company’s name.

“Employees coming to work found damage to machinery on the property and also discovered a building that had missing items,” said Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
 
Armstrong was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering, one count of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, one count of larceny of chose in action, one count of first degree trespassing, and four counts of injury to personal property.

The suspect was placed under a $50,000 bond, has a June 6 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
