Driver crashes into tree on Highway 211

A man was uninjured after colliding into a tree near Eagle Springs on Monday.

Eagle Springs Fire Department responded to the crash on Highway 211 near Peanut Drive around 5:30 p.m. They arrived to a Ford Ranger with heavy front-end damage.

According to state troopers, the driver was traveling eastbound on Highway 211, ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the left side of the road, hit a ditch and crashed into a tree. No other vehicles were involved.

The driver was the vehicle’s only occupant and was evaluated by paramedics. He will be charged with failure to maintain lane control.
