A motorist lost control of their vehicle in the rain Saturday afternoon and crashed into a highway sign.
The crash happened on U.S. 1 Bypass North near the 690 exit, according to retired Cypress Pointe Firefighter, Frank Staples.
Initially, Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Vass Police, and Moore County EMS were paged out to the accident; however, upon arrival, Cypress Point Fire & Rescue cancelled the call to Southern Pines Fire & Rescue and EMS due to no injuries.
